Komórka actually means cell, as in the cell of a living thing, you know, cytoplasm, nucleus, mitochondria, smooth endoplasmic reticulum, all that jazz. It also means a very small room, I guess like we have cell to mean a prison cell. Colloquially it is used to mean a cell phone or a mobile phone, depending on what side of the Atlantic you learned English.
